Today I’ve decided to talk about the power of the mind. Of course, it’s hard to always find the light at the end of the tunnel. I mean, we’re only human. But, good things come to positive people. In fact, that’s a scientific fact. As Henry Ford once said, “If you think you can do a thing or if you think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.”
Training our minds can be pretty difficult but when we finally do it something magical happens. Quantum physics has taught us is that one’s beliefs and perceptions of reality can actually change the outcome of reality to fit that perception.
In a fascinating experiment observing wave and particle behavior, scientists discovered that when they told minds to see waves they did so. When they wanted to see particles they did so. However, what they were looking at was the same exact thing. Here is another example of a dress that divided the internet back in 2015:
Half the people who viewed this picture argued that the dress is white and gold, the other half argued that the dress is blue and black. However, if you stare at this picture long enough, and tell yourself that the dress is the opposite of what you originally saw. You might start to believe it! Originally I had only seen this dress as white and gold. I couldn’t understand how people saw it the other way, but I wanted to. After staring at the picture long enough, I saw it an I couldn’t unsee it. How had I once thought the dress was white and gold and now firmly believe that the dress is blue and black? I mean, I literally altered my perception of reality just by truly believing in something. While this example may seem pretty basic and is so 2015, It shows just how powerful the mind is and shows we can also use it to impact our lives by believing in positive or different outcomes.
